Special Guest Speaker: Taylor Parker (THIS WED, OCT 13)

The CSULB Environmental Club wants to invite you all to attend a special presentation by Taylor Parker from Friends of Colorado Lagoon (FOCL) and Los Cerritos Wetlands Stewards. He's one of our own CSULB alumni and is currently the Education Director for FOCL. He'll be talking to us about the wetlands in Long Beach, the new habitat restoration plans for the lagoon, & much much more.

So, join us on Wednesday (Oct 13th) from 12:30-1:30 in USU-305 for FREE pizza, refreshments, & dialogue on the last remaining parcels of undeveloped wetlands in Long Long Beach!

Taylor will also be discussing quarterly (paid) internship opportunities for students in which a few of our alumni have participated in, so this is definitely something you don't want miss out on!

"This position will act as a resume builder and will generate future letters of recommendation. The Innovator will be exposed to salt marsh ecology, research and restoration theory. All of the resources at the Colorado Lagoon Wetlands and Marine Science Education Center will be made available to you!! There will be continuous on-the-job training."

For more information on past/present/future projects & ways to get involved with the lagoon & wetlands, check out:

Hope to see you all there,
