Hello Beautiful Club Members!
I wanted to let you know about an outreach opportunity at the for you guys to participate in. The SMBRC is looking for student participation in our outreach Open House events to be held monthly at Ballona (open to the public). We will be leading tours (beginning in the Fiji Gateway area in Area A). We are looking for volunteers to assist us developing this program and eventually to continue by leading some of the tours for children, etc.
(0900-1130); and/or our first open house event:
(If you would like to participate, it's important that you try to attend one of these events – preferably the training session). If you know of any education students who might also be interested in this opportunity, please feel free to forward on this notification and/or have them contact me. I'm also attaching a PDF with a few more details about the event (our Ballona newsletter).
Additional important dates to keep in mind… Our next bacteria sampling event:
Thursday, August 12th (all day!); and the reading times on:
Friday, August 13th (throughout day)
PS – here are a couple cool coyote videos on our youtube account for the Ballona Wetlands Restoration Project. They came from our Critter Cams. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
